Instruction
I have an extensive background in English Language Arts editing and content development for the educational publishing market. In 2009 I began teaching writing courses and workshops with The Loft Literary Center of Minneapolis; and in 2013 I began teaching with Gotham Writers Workshop, in New York City.
As of 2025, I have...
- taught over 70 courses, 900 students;
- supported over 65 writers one-on-one;
- and read an estimated 80 client novels and 2,000 short stories.

Gotham Writers Workshop
Here's what I'm teaching in summer 2025, with Gotham Writers Workshop:
- Fiction Level II - Novel First Draft, Part 1. Meets: Mondays, 6:30–9:30 pm ET in Zoom. Starts: Jul 7 (ends Sep 15).
- Fiction Level 1. Meets: Thursdays, 7–10 pm ET in Zoom. Starts: Jul 17 (ends Sep 18). FULL
